Although it’s not as scary as the moon’s fall, Netflix’s new series “Don’t Look Up” deals with another space-related catastrophe: a comet on a collision course with Earth. Interestingly, no one believes the two low-level astronomers, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, discovered the problem. This includes Meryl Streep as the president, Jonah Hill playing her irritating son (and chief-of-staff).

The trailer looks great, and the cast is equally impressive. Other than the main stars, there are appearances by Timothee Chalamet and Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi, Kid Cudi and Cate Blanchett. Adam McKay directed and wrote Don’t lookup. His past credits include Anchorman and Step Brothers, as well as The Big Short.

After premiering in select theatres on December 10, the movie will be available for streaming on Netflix on December 24, 2017.
