Sony released an update to Horizon Zero Dawn, which allows 60fps on PlayStation 5. This update will enable 60fps on PS5. The original game was limited to 30fps, so it should feel smoother. A Verge friend confirmed that the 1.53 update is now available for download.

Horizon Zero Dawn has been the latest to receive a 60fps boost for the PS5 — Sony slowly increased frame rates for its most popular PS4 games since the PS5’s release. God of War received one in May, and Sucker Punch added the 60fps option to Ghost of Tsushima. This feature was already available on the PS5’s November launch.

Sony also announced Horizon Forbidden West, the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, on PS4/PS5. It will be available on February 18, 2022, on PS4 or PS5. The original launch date for Horizon Zero Dawn was set for 2021, according to the developers. However, Jason Schreier of Bloomberg reported that the game had been delayed.
