The Microgravity Gaming League – Call of Duty: Mobile Team Deathmatch Tournament will take place on 21 August and 22 August 2021.
Microgravity Ventures Private Limited has announced the Microgravity Gaming League (MGL – Mobile Call of Duty: Mobile team fatal match tournament). This tournament is part of Freedom Month. The company has partnered with Battlefy to host the events on 21 and 22 August 2021.
Teams will be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis, and not more than 256 teams will be allowed to participate in this tournament. On the Microgravity website, registrations are open since 3 August. This tournament is open to anyone over 16 years old.
The MGL Mobile this year will be held in two phases. These are the qualifier rounds, the quarter-finals and semi-finals on 21 August, and the grand finale, which takes place on 22 August. Registered teams will compete against one another in 5v5 multiplayer mode.
Microgravity has this year announced several gaming vouchers as well as a grand prize worth more than Rs 1,00,000. The winners will be awarded Rs 35,000; the second runner up will be awarded Rs 25,000; the third runner up will be awarded Rs 15,000; the Top Fragger will receive Rs 5 000, and the winner of the Most Assisted Kills award will receive Rs 5,000.
Microgravity will award female gamers who participate in the tournament as part of its #ItsHerGame campaign, which was launched on International Women’s Day. All-female teams that reach the top of the tournament’s ranks will be awarded Rs 20,000 and the #GamerGoddesses title. Five lucky viewers could win Rs 1,000 each in vouchers for their support.
Microgravity hosted three online gaming tournaments in the last year. MGL FIFA took place in May with more than 3,000 participants from all over India. MGL Free Fire was held in August and September of last year with more than 20 thousand participants. MGL Call of Duty Mobile took place in December 2020 and attracted over 8 lakh impressions.
